John, Claire, and I arrived in Natchez yesterday afternoon. I put Claire in her Baby Bjorn and carried her as we walked all around Natchez in the evening. It was very cool outside - probably in the 50's - and felt so refreshing after such a hot summer! Natchez is holding its annual balloon festival this weekend. Dad, John, and I walked with Claire to the park along the Mississippi River, where the balloon pilots were having the 7:00 pm "balloon glow." The massive balloons nesting in the grass would glow as the fires under them blazed. We split a hot funnel cake with powdered sugar and watched fireworks over the river. Claire slept in her carrier most of the time, wearing her little bear hat.
